Hi all guys.
I have a 400E 1992 but with E50 AMG 380HK engine. :agree:
My problem is i have rare (approx one per day at 100km ride) ignition cut off. But can often be "reset" by turning ignition key off and on.
very annoying problem. :x
(What is replaced so far: fuel pump unit, fuel pump relay, MAF, engine control unit, ignition key switch unit, ignition sensor unit, automatic transmission safety switch unit and new main fuse box with new fuses)

So i searching for a new ignition module (014 545 45 32) but not easy to find, but there are lot more 500E/E500 modules (014 545 43 32)
Can i use the 500E module instead of the 400E module?? and what is the differences between these two modules?? This seems to have same plugs and size. :detective:

If you have a 400e EZL module in your new 5.0 litre motor then you are using the wrong one ! You need a 5.0 litre module from a 500e or w140/r129 with same displacement , part numbers as u mentioned.

Bing is correct. You should be using a 5.0L EZL. And also a 5.0L LH module too.

BTW - welcome to the forum! Maybe you can post some photos of your car with the AMG motor?

Hi there Kompressor, Copycat or what, anyway you beat me as I do not have my 400E50 ready yet( the E60 motor soon in the
500 of mine is priority #1

So, question #1 how did you convert the E50 to fit? #2 380hp, is that verifyed and how? #3 400LH reprogrammed or?

I have a lot of unposted pictures and will put together a short story to continue the "Hammer" story BUT first 500E60 to Germany. Roger
