Drooooool. That's paint code 485, Canyon Brown, aka Rosewood Metallic. Super rare color. Too bad I can't afford another car at the moment, although the price seems reasonable given the apparent condition & mileage. I wonder if it has any mechanical issues. Already got a bid at $15k!

Bummer it's not a black interior, although I've only seen one 124 with 485 paint and black interior and it was an E420, not a 500E. Brown interior would be cool too, never seen that combo in the USA though, ever.

Nice car, not sure I buy the MJ story though. Cars don't "show up" in the wrong color from what was ordered.

Doesn't have all records (weird for such low mileage?), and tells me he hasn't done wiring harness or evap core. Just FYI.

I dunno Rik, I may believe it. MJ was known to be very indecisive when it came to the brown/white color choice! Maybe he ordered brown, then changed his mind and lied to get out of the transaction.

This car is in my "hood" although I have never seen it at any Mercedes shows around here (or on the road). Would be more than happy to look at it for anyone and give my report.

I've got to give you a gold star for that one!

It's a very nice looking car.

Was anyone able to get more info out of the seller? He stopped responding after I asked about the accident (said it was rear ended on the 5) and requested (for the 3rd time) a ppi. If anyone's gone out to check, let me know, I'm moderately interested, but seeing as the ebay auction's ending soon, bah.

I'd be concerned if the seller can't be bothered to respond to a request for PPI. Perhaps he doesn't want to bother with an out-of-state buyer, but that's still pretty lame.

Original bidder only bid $15k, second bidder got it. Hopefully the new owner will show up here, assuming the sale goes through.

Apparently the sale didn't go through. It's back:

15.000 starting bid, no reserve and a BIN of $25,000? Something definately wrong here. If he wants 25k and there is only a couple of bidders, then the price is going to end up in the 15-18k range, which is all its worth anyway.

I bet the winning bidder of the last auction didn't back out, I suspect the seller did because the numbers were not what he expected.

I'd be p#$$ed if I were the buyer - should be reported to Ebay!!

Well, it is just an assumption. If I wanted 25k and my auction only went to 15,100, I wouldn't sell it.

But really though, 25k for a accident car? Even with the low mileage thats way out of line. A 10k spread on the bidding price vs. the BIN and especially with no reserve set, just seems strange.

I wonder if the guy just doesn't know what he's doing?

3 bidders this time, final price a bit higher at $16,601. Should be interesting to see if the sale goes through or not.

Cool!

This is the no 4 500E that i have seen whit this color.
the other 3 have i seen here in sweden.

the first one is my own whit brazil brown interior
The second one had black lether and was in quite bad shape.
And the third was a mint brabus 6.5 whit the same color combo as the Ebay car. :D
