E-GAS module wanted (Euro spec, 124-545-44-32)

Hi guys, looking to get a spare E-gas module for my 94 E500, p/n 124 545 4432. Willing to get a unit from earlier model as long as in good working condition. Should anyone have one available and willing to part with it, please let me know. Thanks!

Re: E-GAS module wanted (Euro spec, 124-545-44-32)

Just wondering if a US spec 500e egas module or other M119 modules will work on my car and whether the module can be repaired and if anyone can recommend a vendor that can repair these units if I can not find a spare unit. Thanks.

I strongly suspect other EGas modules will work.

To my knowledge, all 035/034 E gas modules are now NLA outside of the few NIB units I have here.

There's a company out there called Beckman Technologies who rebuilds these and a lot of other electronics that we don't produce anymore. They'll come up on Google.

Open it up and see if any capacitors are bad visually. Electrolytic caps do fail.

The E-GAS module has a handful of caps... probably worth a try to replace them, if the module is bad and you have nothing to lose!

Thanks guys, I will try to have my shop take a look at it and see what they think. The owner of the shop also has a 036 so maybe he'll have some thoughts on this also. Though if any of you come across a spare unit, pls let me know.

    E-Gas Module/Limp Home Mode

Can anyone on the forum advise if the e-gas module from a US spec 93 500E(Part number 1245454532) will work on a Euro spec 94 E500(1245454432)? I have replaced my NSS and my e-gas still seems to be on the blink causing LHM. I have been using a loaner e-gas which is from a 92 500E (1245252632) and its been working without issue. Am I correct to assume that the e-gas modules on all E500E's are compatible? Thanks in advance.

Re: E-GAS module wanted (Euro spec, 124-545-44-32)

Bryan, this question has been discussed recently in this thread:

    http://www.500eboard.com/forums/showthread.php?t=10549

Bottom line, it SHOULD work, but so far we haven't had any definite confirmation that using a different-region module will be OK. Remember that US-spec module 1245454532 is NLA, so I assume you have a line on a used one?

Just wanted to update everyone on this. Replaced the Euro spec e-gas module with a US spec module(1245454532). Upon first insertion and test drive, there was a clicking sound and the ABS lights came on. I took the unit out and reinserted and have been driving my car for the past couple of months without issue.

Yes, shoutout to Jeff for helping to source this and other parts for the 036 and my 2.5-16. Thanks again!
