    Catalytic Converters

I am wondering if the front pipe and cats are NLA? They don't show up on mbparts and parts.com. I would like to replace mine on my 94 E500.

    Re: Catalytic Converters

The latest p/n in the EPC for the front pipe with catalysts is: 124-490-99-20

Naperville shows only remanufactured versions (same p/n, but with -80 suffix) available at $1416 list, $1048 discount, plus a core charge of $236:

I'd love to see a photo of these remans...

    Re: Catalytic Converters

If they are in fact factory, they probably aren't really "remans" They're probably just recycling the platinum and keeping other people from being able to "reman" them. There's lots of "factory reman" stuff these days that's actually just brand-new parts: instrument clusters, wheels, catalysts, air/hydraulic suspension struts, infotainment components, etc.

    Would that include water pumps?

    Re: Catalytic Converters

If someone needs a 500E-specific, factory OE MB never-used set of cats, or other new MB factory E500E exhaust parts (mufflers, resonator, etc.) let me know. I know of a set, but they may not be cheap.
