Am I correct in understanding that the eGas module is the same for 94' E420 and 92' 500E?

If the E420 had ASR, it should work just fine.

They are not the same, but are interchangeable.

I think it's been covered in other posts, but I believe the W140's e-gas modules are not interchangeable??

Yes and no. The W140 E-GAS will allow the car to drive normally... but you will not have functioning cruise control. No idea why...

It's probably a good idea to have a spare e-gas module, w124 or not.
If you loose cruise, no big deal, at least you can get your car back on the road without paying stealership prices.
Of course, I would prefer to have cruise.

Feeler. If someone is interested in an e-gas module from a W140, let me know, I have located one.
Remember, no cruise control if installed in a .036 and .034, but its a good module to get you out of a pinch or for testing.
    $76 shipped conus.
