No prior detailed record of this car in my personal database, but I have noted it as a wrecked/parts car that has been badly burned.

Looks like a driver side fender is damaged but repairable. Beside front fenders and bumper only think i can think of being salvageable is engine.

Whoa. I bet even Jono wouldn't pay much for that carcass, despite it being local.

Where does the insurance company come up with an ACV of $13k?

Good reminder to replace the high-pressure fuel hose if you haven't already done so... looks like the typical fuel pump area fire to me.

I'd ask if the wiring harness has been done. You'd hate to make an investment and realize that maintenance has been deferred

Definitely would need all the service records and PO history before pulling the trigger on this one. Oh, and go over the whole thing with a paint thickness gauge.

At least the Bermuda Triange hood modification will buff out.

What's the mileage? We have seen that prior damage is irrelevant if mileage is low - you can still try to get $90K for the car (https://www.500eboard.com/forums/showthread.php?t=10242).

Seriously though, those pictures are terrifying. I'm glad Jono and team replaced that hose when he went over my car.

I guess $13K is what they paid out to a owner as an value to replace it

Front bumper is NLA, headlights are NLA, and front fender mouldings are NLA... those bits plus the powertrain would be the main items.

Bid is currently at $575. Registering will cost $200 for the year so I am out. If someone acquires this car I will buy the pass side front cladding. Possibly good EZL and modules as well.

I think he means it costs $200 to register with the auction site. (!!) I'm sure there are extra fees tacked on to the final sale as well...

Went to someone in CA for $1400 plus all the fees. I had bid $1350 otherwise he would have probably ended up with it for around $600, or I could have picked it up for that amount, however you want to look at it.

If W124rider is willing to sell, then I'd be happy to take just the driver's side!

Let's see what he says - I guess realistically he'll want to hang on to them?

Hey, it has the alloy Brembo calipers too! (I don't need them, but the W201 crowd sure likes 'em.)

Guess we'll need to hear from w124rider if he plans to sell any parts off the car, or not.
