BAT: Two very nice 560SECs simultaneously

That's right SEC fans, two awesome cars at the same time (two days difference between auction ends):
    - 1989 Red: https://bringatrailer.com/listing/19...benz-560sec-6/
    - 1991 Black: https://bringatrailer.com/listing/19...benz-560sec-7/ (no ASR)

Anybody has a plan to break into a bank or needs a gateway driver?

Two very nice examples. I prefer the black one even w/ the extra 30K on the clock.

The red one although a nice low mileage example would have to have the bottom panels color matched to the rest of the car and a Palomino or Black interior.

If these cars are to be driven both probably would need the $5K of maintenance for all of the old rubber if nothing else.

Still both are very nice and well presented.

    Just my $0.02 cents.

I love these cars and would dearly like to own one. Prices are creeping up, though...
In fact, I reached out to the gentleman with the white option and feel he is an enthusiast who has taken great care of his example.

I have been driving mine a lot more since my E500 is in the shop. Definitely has that rolling classic feel but with enough modern touches to make it super comfortable. I love the seats. I get a lot more compliments vs the E500.

The black on black car looks great.

Yes, you can see it. Initially I thought it's just another overpriced car, but as I looked closely in the pictures I started changing my mind. By the time I examined everything in the ad, the asking price did not surprise me anymore.

Well, the red one sold for $25k. The black one is at $12.5k with one more day to go. What is your prediction? I suspect it will sell ~ $18k.

Re: BAT: Two very nice 560SECs simultaneously

I thought the final bid on the red one was quite fair. Aside from the overspray issue on the rear end, which I couldn't get a real grip on, the car looked quite legit. I do wish that sellers would reinstall/fix/source the proper stereo head units. Modern audio just looks absurd to my eyes.

I do think that BaT pretty much screwed the first seller by listing the second one right on its heels.

The red one was a love-it-or-hate-it color. The black one will appeal to more bidders. The black over black combo is a bit much, but I think most would prefer it over the red.

The headliner on the black one has me a bit perplexed. I posed a question about smoker stains to the seller, and he insisted that the car has not been smoked in. Color me confused by the disgusting headliner. It will need to go since it's sagging, but I'm finding it hard to fathom that car does not stink inside.

I can see bidding going into the low $20s... let's call it $22,5

2014 MB E63S, 2008 Tundra, 2006 Lotus Exige S, 1989 FJ62 Land Cruiser, 1996 Ford Bronco, and some other interesting and not so interesting vehicles.

I did mention to BaT that they should have a tiered pricing model where you can pay for exclusivity of your listing. Obviously, the higher the likelihood of a car being posted (i.e. a BMW E46 vs. a C111), the higher the price to maintain your auction's singularity for the duration. Obviously, if you do not care, you get the lower price. A last option would be to purposely have your auction start right after one which finished and capture some of the bidding excitement.
