    Post Euro-spec vs US-spec Suspension

    So I was wondering...

    ... being that a lot of European cars were spec'ed with different suspension to their US counterparts (such as Porsche's, BMW's, etc) during the '90's (and some even today), were 500E's in Europe equipped with different suspension parts than American 500E's?

    I assume that if any was different, it would be either ride height (accomplished by different springs or different spring pads), or spring rates.

    Maybe this has already been covered - sorry, if that's the case!

    Anyone know?

    I believe that US and Euro .036s had the same suspension. Ride height was the same.

    Not disagreeing, because I certainly don't know the answer - but to me, it looks like the 500E in this video is unlikely to have been modified and is definitely lower than my 500E:

    Same suspension worldwide, as GVZ stated; only the E60 AMG received a different suspension. Apparent ride height can be deceiving until you put a tape measure to the car. Could be that yours is higher than normal; if a previous mechanic tightened any suspension bushings with the car in the air, etc...
