What's the mileage ? I'm on my second W221 company car and they are great when electrical gremlins are sorted as well as front suspension weaknesses .

    Thanks 036,

I have a list of mods for this one as well.. My 2007 E500 is a really nice car, But the sight and drive of the Uber-klasse is something different.

It has 150Tkm autobahn mileage, full Service history and one owner (Dutch manager who lives in Germany).

The suspension issue in higher mileage cars is only the lower control arm bushing (~200 euro part)...Just did it on my friends 2007 S500 Designo with 175TKM!
Electronics are pretty robust, but with almost 100 computers/contol units its No W123.

Now only thing left is to make room for a flared-fendered Pleasure ride...AGAIN!

Mabrook and just in time for Ramadan mate!

How is it coping in the 50c + heat so far?

In fairness I'd say the W124 e500 would still be comparable off the line.

    Thanks Bro.

You can forget about the Engine Temperature Gauge With the new Mercs, its always at 90-95C even at +52c!

If Anyone is considering a newer Merc (2nd car, so as not to put too many miles on the 500E) then go for the post 2006/2007 models, the W221 is much better quality than the W220, and much more reliable.

Must to sell the 07 E500 Brabus...need to make space for wide fenders.

Is the airmatic ok ? Pictures showing it's raised or did they just pressed the button on the dash to raise it? Don't mean to scare you but I had this fail on me too! It just dropped and it needed an new pump. Oh and I hope your front seat don't squeak, though it can be cured by adding extra felt, all of the one's I've driven squeak and I've driven a lot of them from 2006 to 2012.

Overall they handle better than W220 with a great design and that refined 5.5 liter has bit of torque

I raised it to drive up the drive way, though I don't like to drive them this way as they look like SUVs !
W220 had endless issues with the Airmatic and ABC, our Late 2002 S500 had a very well maintained system but I still had to redo the Stut upper seals at 90Tkm. But These new W221 are much more reliable with no sagging and level drop as in the W220, Haven't seen one with major suspension issues yet (lots of them around here...plus half the neighbours).

The 5.5L DOCH Engine is 82HP/70NM more than the W220.

As for the ride, even with 150Tkm it is smoooooooth, much smother/quieter than even my E500 which also has Airmatic.
