    92 400E vacuum line problem.

I put in some rebuilt fuel injectors on my 92 400E about 6 weeks ago. I broke some crankcase breather lines and replaced them with some new lines, but when I plugged the new crankcase lines in I broke a vacuum line coming off of the crankcase lines and need to know where it goes. I believe it ran under the front of the intake manifold, but don't know where it terminates. There's another that runs from the back of the ETA and I don't remember where that one goes as well. Here's a couple of pictures with the lines outlined. Please help so I can finish this job.

    Thank you...

That is not a vacuum line, it is for the fuel tank vapor system. The pipe goes under the driver-side distributor cap and over to the EZL area on the driver fender.

That second picture has what looks like the EZL vacuum line

That should run under the intake and out the front, behind the P/S reservoir and to the EZL

Yes, good catch Clark, the second photo does show a vacuum line... I agree it's probably the EZL line. Missed that before, wooops.

The battery is dead. I've got it trickle charging now.

The black Tecalan (plastic) tube is MB part # 000-987-27-27, sold by the meter at your favorite dealership. Don't think it's available via most aftermarket / WorldPac vendors though. You need 1.6M to fully replace the existing tube.

I started her up today. She was missing really bad. I traced the plug wires and the very first plug wire I traced went straight to the coil. DOH!!! How did I do that? Got the wires straightened out and started her up again. WOW! Purrs like a kitten and the throttle is very responsive. What a difference. On to the brakes, tires, exhaust, strut mounts, etc...

Re: 92 400E vacuum line problem.

I got everything put back together today and tried to move the car. The first thing I noticed was that the car was idling high and was running rich. I just replaced the plugs, wires, rotors, caps and put in some rebuilt fuel injectors. Any ideas why it's idling so high and running rich?
