Hi, guys.
If I go to look at a car, how do I know that the wiring harness has actually been replaced? Is there an obvious thing I should look for?
Thanks!

Look at the insulation to make sure it is not dry or cracked. Places to check would be at the end of the wires where the plugs are attached to various sensors and such. This thread has some pictures. http://500eboard.com/forums/showthread.php?497-Wiring-Harness&highlight=harness

To be absolutely sure, you would have to examine the wires further back from the sensors etc.

When I first got my car, I checked the wires at the sensor ends and all seemed fine. Later on, I decided to check out the harness further and I slit the outer covering further back from the sensors. When I did that I could see that the insulation was cracked, though fortunately it had not yet started to flake off. I eventually changed the harness just be be sure
