Hi to all from Croatia.
I've been lurking around for a while and finally decided to introduce my 500E.
It's 1991 metallic blue-black with black leather interior and I have it little over 2 years. So far I rebuilt the engine, tranny (still got problems), suspension parts, some interior wood replaced.....and the previous owner had it repainted. The body has overall 380.000 km, and 22.000 km after rebuilt.

I'll post some pics but all pics about rebulit are on my web page in signature.

Some vids:

And in the end

Nice to see a high mileage 036 worked on rather than scrapped...keep up the good work :welcome:

Nice car, not the first time I see it on the internet. I love that color. May I ask you how much the engine and tranny rebuild cost in euros?

Great looking car. Really like the wheels you have on it. Quite the job on the engine rebuild.

Thanks for showing it.

Thanks for posting and welcome aboard.

Your car is the second-earliest car that I have definitive documentation for in my registry. The earliest car is ONE VIN number earlier than yours, and is a modified car in Dubai.

Thanks for your participation !!

So far on engine and tranny I spend around 10.000-10.500 euros.
But I still got problems with the 2-3 shifting.

to gerryvz -> I now that car. I saw it on former 500eboard forum

Some new pics with factory wheels. I have taken off headlamp wipers to repaint them, and tow cover to get new clips

Nice looking 500e. really like to see the higher milage cars well kept. What is that large item in the trunk with the two hoses running to it?

Hey dado95

I notice you have the chrome instrument cluster rings. I have a set that the previous owner of my car included when I bought my car. I like the look and am thinking about installing them.

I know how to remove the instrument panel, but not sure what to do after that. Did you install yours? Any tips for me?

sheward -> Large item in the trunk is 90 liter tank for LPG gas system.

mistermiata -> After removing instrument panel and disconnected all wires/plugs/bulbs, remove panel and unscrew all the screws around the back of the cluster panel, remove speed tacho, rev tacho, oil/gas tacho and just prie in tacho ring, and put all back together.

Wow. Is the car set up to be "dual fuel", running on either gasoline/petrol or LPG? Or is it running exclusively on LPG? Or a blend...?
