Hello everyone. Anyone have the service factory manuals for the w124.

400Eric was reputed to have disappeared with the last four manuals. He has not been heard from since. Many people wanted the information in these manuals. We fear the worst.

It's online at the link below, courtesy of "ps2cho" on some of the other MB forums:

Again, W124-Zone is not my personal website.

ps2cho's posts at Benzworld and PeachParts forums have always reminded me a lot of GSXR's posts, and they are about the same age, and have the same strong (and near-exclusive) interest in W124s. I've often wondered if they were one and the same....

I think ps2cho prefers M103 powerplants, which I dislike immensely (i.e., in the same category as OM61x). Pretty sure he has a wagon, which I don't yet have...

ps2cho seems to have a bit more love (though growing distaste) for Yurro parts than Dave does, so maybe they are not one and the same.

I just purchased a 500E Intro to Service Manual in the German language.
It's almost new.
I ordered the one in english but there is no hard copies avail, no CD or any other way. So basically the english version of this book is NLA.

I have one like that for the M117 86-91, too bad on the English version. The pics are nicer and more clear than they are on the CD.

This NLA "Intro to Service" manual is available on this site, in English.

Another online set of service manuals, if folks haven't seen this one before:

I have one SM, how to upload it here?

If you can provide me with a link to it, I can download it and upload to the forum.

If it's 20MB or smaller, you can e-mail it to me at gerryvz@gmail.com

Listers: I'm sure some of you are aware of and are using Steve Nervig's index for the CD version of the W124 FSM. A few years ago I bought the 2 CD set FSM and down loaded it. Very cumbersome to navigate so I stumbled onto Steve's great index which makes it a breeze to use. There are also several 'how-to' write ups that are useful. Once you down load the index it layers itself over the FSM. I see that you can pull up the FSM with the index on the web but then each procedure has to be downloaded into a pdf file--time consuming.
Not sure if the CDs are still available; mine were a boot leg version but work just fine.

Yes, the Nervig index is in full effect on this site. Haven't heard much from Steve in recent years.

I helped him about 15-16 years ago with the W116-specific section of his index, back with I was daily-driving a 450SEL 6.9. Met him a couple of times in person at MB-coupes Pacific Northwest driving events, such as this one below circa 2003 up on the Mount St. Helens volcano. He is the only guy running a C124 in a group of C126 models :)

There are a couple of public web sites that people have put up, offering the W124 Factory Service Manuals using the Nervig Index.

As far as I know, the factory CDs are still available for purchase from MB. In addition, factory manuals (the CDs) are offered free for public use for the W123, W124 and W201 chassis by MB at this URL: https://www.startekinfo.com/StarTek/doclist.jsp
