Hi, and welcome! I took the liberty of removing the typo in the thread name ;-)

Would be great if you could post some more info (i.e., how long do you have it, what have you done to it, where you're from, etc).

Apparently this one is in great shape and seems with low mileage , something under 90k.

Nice color and great monoblocks

How come it is 94 and the trunk lid is euro type but car does not have the IR port ?

or it is in America but with euro trunk (never seen before)?

The car has very low mileage (under 40 k); I dont use it much, its an amazing car, I love it. I look it years to have with my 2.5 evolution.
That pics were taken after a big sesion of detailing using a product that is amazing (22ple)

@Evo II , great looking car you have ! Please put us out of our misery :scratchchin:. We'd love to know a bit more history of your beauty.

Looks like it's a canadian spec, looking at the speedo in KMH, the "Premium unleaded" etch and the knee bolster. But rear trunk is a mystery as that's definitely a Euro trunk.! Where are you located?

Paint looks 009 sapphire black in one photo or is it 199 blue black/pearl black ?

I am located in Chile, the color is blue black (I think thatīs the name). We use that trunks because of the size of the license (euro). This car was originally us spec and we change trunk, hood, lights and odo. Everything with factory numbers. The car was inmaculated, I chase it years till they send it to me. I like that color, and is very hard to find in mint condition.
Here more pics but with the 18.

Great! That explains it. Just so you're aware, coz you seem to like your MB youngtimers, your headlights are for standard W124s non E500Es. No big deal but if you want it to look right you can search the part numbers here and still order them while they're still available.

Nice to see that Evo paired up with your E500!!

Well, to be honest Evo II is really masterpiece for me .

You feel really special when you touch the stick shift with the ***/500 plate.

I am more into C126 rather R107 , though you definitely got very nice cars with the super low miles.

EvoII with such a low mileage is more valuable than the piece of gold or diamond , loool I am sure it is true for the MB enthusiasts.

I think you should post pics of your Evo II and E500 all together , both are black/dark color which is really cool .

P.S. When and where did you get cars with such a low mileage ? Evo II and 560SL ?

It seems you bought them new ?

It depends if you have 500E headlamps with incorrect lenses, or if someone installed the entire wrong headlamp. The 500E-specific headlamp assembly has no metal shield over the H3 bulb like standard W124 Euro lights do. And the lenses are completely different.

If a previous owner just replaced the lenses with the wrong lens, you can buy the proper lens and fix the problem. You should check the part number on the label of the headlamp assembly.

Yes, you get 4 high beams, the E500 inner lamp (H3) is a pencil-beam auxiliary high beam lens, for long-range lighting, for high-speed driving. The 500E / E500 is supposed to have two fogs (in the bumper) and four high beams.

Standard 124's have a fog lamp for the inner H3 light, which has a wide, flat, low beam. With standard 124 headlamps on an E500E, you'll have four fogs (two in bumper, two [incorrectly] next to hood grile) and only two high beams.

For normal right-hand traffic countries, you'll need part numbers 124-820-35-57 and 124-820-36-57 for a 1994 E500. Probably around $300-$400 EUR each, I can't find current pricing online for Euro parts.

Careful Ricardo, 18's may take away some off the comfort of the c126. They may make the ride a bit more firm than you like, at least, lowered with H&Rs with B8s installed.

there are numerous variants - bolt on and more complicated.
Bolt on are from slk55amg, but rear calipers design is awful imo. You can find them in Rouven036 thread.
Best design from amg\brembo - SLS AMG calipers, 6 pot front and 4 pot rear, both with radial connection points. All you need is to put bleeders on the other side, as rear calipers on SLS are in front of brake disc.
Also you can install nearly any caliper with radial mount - movit, brembo gt, alcon etc.

Hi, I want to update the brakes of my e500, I have seen a lot of AMG brakes in some w124 models, can someone give and idea what to do to install some amg ones? or brembo.
The easiest, simplest bolt-on brake upgrade is the "Silver Arrow" brake package. captruff has a set of those calipers for sale right now in the classified section. These require 17" wheels and will clear Evo II wheels. These SA brakes (334mm Brembo fronts, 300mm Ate rear) are plenty strong for even a 400hp 6L engine. Lots of forum threads detailing this upgrade, good pedal feel with stock 500E master cylinder, etc etc.

All the AMG brake upgrades (6-pot fronts are the ONLY ones I'd recommend, if you go that route) require additional modifications and also require 18" or larger wheels, along with substantially higher cost. And, these brakes are overkill for street use, and probably not needed on the track unless you have over 400hp on a road course. They look great of course.

The trip computer requires a LOT of different parts, including the entire instrument cluster (all 3 gauges are different), a control module, switch module in the console, special console wood, and wiring harness. A full kit is almost impossible to locate, and installation is not easy. And, the kit MUST be specific to the 400E/500 (a W124 4/5/6-cylinder kit will not work on a V8, and a W126 kit will not work in a W124). I'm not even sure I've heard of anyone successfully retrofitting this. Worse yet, I vaguely recall it was only offered in 1991-92 so there are very few donors.
