1994 E500.

After 9 months of ownership I just noticed that my headlight lenses are different! I know the car was hit on passenger front, so that headlight must have been replaced with the wrong lense... Here is what I have;

Driver side Lense lower right number = 1 305 621 621

Pass side Lense lower left number = 1 305 621 618

Can anyone confirm which is the correct lense for the 94?

Many thanks!!

Can't tell from the part numbers, but if you post a photo of the front of your car, that would help...

SO now the problem appears obvious, but who doesn't like a couple nice pics!

Here is my passenger side headlight lense (appears to be from a regular E320/420?)

And here is my driver's side lense which appears to be the correct E500E lense!

I wonder if the headlight bucket on the passenger side is correct for the 94 E500?

Yup, your passenger headlight lens is incorrect. You can tell if the headlamp assembly is original or not by either checking the part number on the label on the top of the housing (may be hard to read), or by looking through the lens for a metal shield over the H3 bulb. The correct 036 lamps do not have a shield over the H3 bulb, the standard 124 lamps do have a shield.

See if Tom Hanson at the Classic Center can get you the passenger side E500 (Euro) lens... it's basically identical to the E500 US lens, except it's made by Hella instead of Bosch. Part number is 124-820-58-66.
