Hello all, as some of you know I have been looking for a car for a few months now. Well I found one, some of you know the car also, it's was -Fad's car as seen here at the MB Starfest in San Francisco, about 1/2 way down the page......

http://www.500ecstasy.com/forums/showthread.php?t=6099

This E500 was extremely well cared for by -Fad (Fulgence), I'll give you just a few examples for now....
- It still has the original battery
- A Starmark car twice
- All records back to the day it was born
As soon as I have time I will add photos and more details to this thread, thanks for all of your help !

Here is some shots on the drive home

Congratulations! Now, I know the Pearl Black paint color is also known as Blue-Black, but I've never quite seen one with actual two-tone paint (blue front end). Very interesting! LOL! I didn't even know this car was for sale. Looks sharp!

Look close at the photo and you will see the battery in the upper right corner. The sticker is on the under side of the battery cover, do you have one there ???

I?ll have to look again when I get my car back this weekend. I believe I didn?t see it last time I looked, but that was at night and I did not pay attention then.

Thanks.

Karl,
Congrats on the purchase! I saw your car when -Fad owned it at StarFest in 2008. It's one of the best I've seen. I hope you have fun with it!

Yes maybe both LOL ... The car is ride high in the photos as the wheels where just installed and it has not settled down yet. I hope to lower it with #1 pads soon. I went with 265/30/19 tires all around, they are 1 of the the right sizes for 9.5 x 19's, I picked this tire for good ride comfort reviews and low weight of only 22 lbs

Yes sadly I do, I knew these would be bad going in but I like the Factory look
Brabus Monoblock III's 9.5" x 19" = 32 LBS General Exclaim UHP 265/30/19 = 22 LBS Total 54 LBS OUCH
In search of a set of 18" light weight wheels (under 20 LBS) cause I need more wheels LOL

Yesterday with much need help from Glen we (He) lower my car a bit, here is what we (He) did ....
Front
- Installed #1 pads ( the stock set up was a #3 pads )
- Stock measurement from the center of the wheel cap was 13 3/4"
- With # 1 pads installed and a bit of settling we ended with 13 1/4" (1/2" lower)
- Wheel / Tire set 19 x 9.5 Brabus III's ET 35 with 5mm spacers and 265/35/19
Back
- The back had #1 pads from the factory (From all we could tell) so we left them
- Stock measurement from the center of the wheel cap was 14 1/2"
- We (Glen) messed around with the SLS to try and adjust the it down but all it would go was 14 3/8" (1/8" lower)
- Wheel / Tire set 19 x 9.5 Brabus III's ET 35 with 5mm spacers and 265/35/19
- At some point soon I would like to lower the back a bit more, just have to decide how.

For those that are wondering both Glen and I agee that the 19" wheels / tire set up ride just as well as the 17" I have, the key is picking the right tires.

I BIG THANKS to Glen for all of his help !! :man:

Hey! When did you get those wheels? Specs, tire size, etc...spill the beans!

I have always liked these wheels as they look like something Mercedes would make. Its hard to tell with the black center but see the ones below, Mercedes like or what ? I have only seen them in 16" or 17" and never in 18", so when I came across these in 18" I thought I would try them. They are a rare Enkei Racing wheel made only for Japan, these are 8.5 / 9.5 x 18 and they have a set of Continental ContiSportContact 3 ties on them.

Its funny, with these BLACK wheels my car feels tougher, like it's ready to pick a fight lol. Also its gets noticed even more now, I see more people turning back to look at her as we drive by.

Enjoy the ride, I do !

A set of 17" all polished up and ready to go

I like!
To me, 18" is the perfect size. 17's look too small and 19" is just a little too big...nice find :-)
