    Lowman,

I want to thank you for taking the time to post your videos. You helped me diagnose my coolant leak and also realize the mountain I would have to climb to change the water pump myself.

The "over-engineering" catch tube & reservoir for water pump failure is the source of my leak. Your description of the system here helped me understand everything.

The 13:00 minute mark is where Lowman explains the failure tube and reservoir for water pump failure.

Re: HOW-TO: Replacing M119 Water Pump (video)

I've done this on 2 cars. My 500e, the dampener was a pretty heavy press-fit. What I've gone to on both, is I always replace the seal on the crank. So, I use an american style(local parts store free rental), Harmonic balancer puller. Pull the whole assembly and then I mark and take the dampener off with the assembly off the car. I find it easier to assemble that way, at least warming up the crank hub and sliding it on the crankshaft.

After having a front seal leak, I always replace the seal while I'm in there... Remember to put sealant on several of the bolt threads.

Side note: If the air pump bracket is removed for any reason (may not be required), make sure to use anaerobic sealant on the bolt threads. If you don't... there will be a small oil leak that is maddening to locate. I've found this on several of my cars, previous mechanics did not know to use the sealant and it creates a real mess on the passenger side of the engine. Clean out the female threads to remove all traces of oil before installing.

    Sorry for the off top.
But what is the bracket in your(or maybe not your, sorry) hand?
If I want to remove air pump-where I can find such a pulley bracket?
