    Comfort Convenience Module problems

Last week my front right window stopped going up. It would come down but wouldnt go up on the switch.

It went up if I used the Infra red convenience closing on the remote.

Luckily I still have the 500E donor car hanging around... Took the convenience module from that. All was ok for a couple of days.

Then today i rolled down the drivers window and the passenger went down all by itself!
Would not go up either on switch or using convenience.

So I have ordered a third used module from ebay.

Are these problematic or am I just unlucky?

I tried another window switch incase that was causing some issue but still the same.

I had to put the original module back in so that I could close the window using convenience.

I took the lid off both modules.. both look perfect inside.

I have never had one faulty myself. That's not to say they don't go bad - just that I think it's unusual for 2x to burn up so soon.

I know its weird... unless I have a short circuit somewhere, I cannot see what could be causing it. I have stared at the wiring diagram but cannot see what could be going wrong.

They do go out, but not that commonly. Unusual to have two bad ones, but perhaps you can get a known-good third one on loan to check.

Is your ground point free of corrosion?
