    Big Sedans

GCFSB blogged about a W140 the other day which got me thinking and poking around to see what else is out there.

    Here's the entry:

Looks reasonably clean. Surely there are some flaws here and there, but at $7500 that seems like a lot of car to putter around town in.

But then this one popped up last night:

    https://www.ebay.com/itm/1992-Merced...L/123127602778

This car is clean. Seller discloses an inop tilt on the steering wheel. I don't see any real faults, other than the Ask. Comes with two sets of wheels, so maybe could claw back some of the investment on dumping one set.

Just tossing it out there for entertainment purposes.

Those Lorinser bumpers give the big 140 just a touch of 036 style, IMO.

I didn't realize these cars came in that color. It almost looks like color code 368, Flint Grey. Nice. Seems like it's worth every bit the $15k that would buy it.

Too much aftermarket junk on that car for almost $18,000. Much rather have this one: https://www.ebay.com/itm/1997-Merced...sAAOSwe6ZaegGx

There's the bumpers, the head unit and the corner markers. Wheels are not stock, but might be genuine.

OE head unit is included. But who knows if it's operable or what's been done to the wiring.

Front plate holder might be an issue if one is required.

Doesn't seem like anything too serious to me.

The one you linked has been kicking around on ebay for a while. Seller accepted an best offer a while back, but obviously no sale. It looks pretty good, but to my eye it's not as clean as the imported gray one.

Cluster has been opened up to mess with the gauge faces.

Also don't know what's going on with these tails:

    Lorinser tail pipes.
Now that you've posted that pic, I can see that the reverse light bar is mismatched.
