Even as of MY2018 FCA LX/LD subframe looks surprisingly similar to the jig bolted up in the w124. I'm curious with regard to interchangeability of late model subframes either Mercedes, FCA, etc & the evolution of in engineering enhancements made to this modular component over the past 25 years? There are millions of these box-modular rear subframes sitting around, it would be interesting to know if the bushing mounting points are dimensionally the same or different across variants?
