    Porsche bbk

The 500e should have came with Porsche calipers. After all they did help build the car.

Well soon these will be available...

Made from 1018 heat treated steel (front bracket) and 6061-t6 aluminum (rear bracket)

Front will have the following options
    330mm
    320mm

    Rear will be
    300mm 600sl

Use factory Porsche calipers modifications required to the caliper for 320mm size rotor.

Kits will be sold as front or rear and will include the following.
    2 brackets
2 SS lines for the calipers
Necessary hardware to bolt them on.

Rotors are sourced from the MB parts bin
    Calipers are from a 996/997 c2

    Price break down so far.
    Front Brackets $375.00 (pair)
    Rear Brackets $295.00 (pair)
Misc Hardware for a pair of brackets $18.00
Cost of Porsche Calipers a set of 4 $500-$800 all depending on condition (ebay special)
    SS Brake lines TBA

Teaser pic of the rear bracket mounted with a Porsche caliper.

    Some notes..
-Updated from LCA is a must for anything larger than 320mm
    - front and rear dust shields will need to be removed or cut
    - will not fit all Wheel styles due to a wider caliper.

FYI-- you cannot effectively heat-treat 1018 steel to gain any strength, there simply isn't a high enough carbon content. Maybe you are plating it to prevent corrosion? The 6061-T6 should be Anodized for corrosion. I'm running that same basic caliper with (Brembo). The brackets were all made by brembo to fit the 036.

Bolt pattern is different. You'll need to machine a hub- I think. Add a link for the disc.. I need one. Rear's are you going to use the Silver-arrow discs?

Here is the right front kit 330x28

    Bracket
SS brake line with banjo bolt
    Porsche 996351426 caliper

    Use mb
    MB 2034211312 330x28 rotor

Or shave the caliper 7mm and use a 316mm rotor 2104211712 to fit under most 16 wheels.
