    F8DC4 Spark Plugs Superseded?

I ordered new plugs from Nappervile using part 003 159 67 03 26 (this was printed on my last batch of F8DC4 plugs I ordered). They sent me plugs that had 14F-8DU4 printed on them. When I inquired, they said that the part number I used to order (003 159 67 03 26) was superseded by 003 159 68 03 and that's now the correct plug for my 119.975. They offered to let me return them but if it's correct I guess there's no reason to. Anyone else try to use these plugs? Thanks.

Not really a substitution, just a different vendor. The 67 are Bosch, the 68 are made by Beru. Good stuff. Don't forget to open the gaps to about 1.0mm
    Putting the fun in dysfunction...

Thanks, Klink! As per your technique, I always gap at 1mm. It's electrifying!

    Re: F8DC4 Spark Plugs Superseded?

That is correct. The current plug has been superseded to the 68 number, which is a supplier indicator change. They flip back and forth between part numbers for some common service parts. I believe the current factory plugs are Berus, made in France.

The former plugs (with the 26 on the end) were Bosch, made in Germany. Those were the ones I was selling.

You can always get the Bosch aftermarket plugs as well, but they are made in Russia I believe. They are certainly of good enough quality.

What Klink & Gerry said. The Genuine MB plugs currently available are Beru. The OE Bosch (made in Germany) are unavailable, possibly permanently.

I've been selling the Beru plugs since the Bosch went AWOL, so far I haven't heard any complaints.
