    "Optional With" Part Numbers

The EPC shows two different throttle cable part numbers:

    124 300 65 30

    124 300 66 30

Does anyone know what the difference is between the two? ASR v. non-ASR?

It looks like the first was superseded by the second. At least when you input the first into the mboemparts.com search box it comes up with the second. https://www.mboemparts.com/oem-parts...ble-1243006630

    Re: Throttle Cable Part Number

Jon, the term "optional with" means both part numbers are valid for the application. Usually, this means 2 different suppliers / manufacturers, and MB may change back & forth between them at any given time. Usuallly, only one of the part numbers will be available / orderable, but sometimes there will be inventory on both simultaneously. If there is a price difference, plan on the more expensive one being what's available.

The RevolutionParts sites (Naperville, Husker, Portland, etc) will USUALLY show the supercession if only one is available. In this case, if you search for 124-300-65-30, the website will redirect you to 124-300-66-30.

In the fine print (gray text), note it says "Replaces: 124-300-65-30". A bargain at $30, btw...

    Re: Throttle Cable Part Number

Thanks, Dave. I figured with Partsgeddon coming, I might as well order two throttle cables at that price.
