Today, on a beautiful fall day in Georgia, the 2018 Mercedes Benz Concourse d'Elegance took place in a North suburb of Atlanta. More than 30 cars participated (I heard somebody saying we had 38 cars). Some were very nice cars, especially the black 1952 model that ultimately was the best car in show. It was a stunning car with a restoration that took 20 years. I was amazed of how well that car looked and I could not find anything wrong with its restoration, that's how perfect it was. There was no W126, but we had two C126. One was silver, the other was mine (black pearl).
It was my first participation at such a show. I wish I would had done a better job in preparing my car, basically I worked only the night before (however I always keep my car very clean which helped a lot). In the end I went home with third place Concourse Class. It was a good day for me and I thought that considering my car "preparation", I did okay.
A sensational appearance was the modified Mercedes with the machine gun on top (of course it is replica). The car was not part of the competition, but it did attract a lot of viewers.
So, I thought of showing you some pictures for your viewing pleasure. Enjoy it.
