    SOLD: EGAS Module 124 545 42 32 - $150 Shipped

This was a spare from when I was troubleshooting my former 400E. Worked in that car without a hitch, tried it a couple of times while troubleshooting and otherwise it's sat in the parts cabinet. Nothing remotely approaching a W124 in the stable right now, nor do I anticipate anything coming my way, so I'm offering it here to live on for another day or as a hot spare for those of you who hoard these parts.

$150 shipped in the CONUS, cash, USPS money order, or PayPal gift (or you cover the fees.)

    Dan

This is only for Canada and Mexico ,and 400/420
Have you used this in a 500e?
Does anyone have experience using a "non" 500e one in an actuall 500e..depending on pre facelift..facelift..?

The EPC footnote is incorrect when it states only Canada and Mexico. This part number was installed in millions upon millions of .034's in USA. OK, fine, it was probably just a thousand or two, lol. But yep, USA cars use this module and yes, it works fine in the .036 too. No issues using early module in late car or vice-versa. The later modules have updated software, that's all. Slightly different idle RPM's, IIRC, as mentioned in some ancient TSB.

    Thanks for the validation!

It was also used in a number of W140 chassis' cars as well, I believe.

Have you tried "one of these" in a euro 036 also?Remember the Euro ,for instanse..does not have the DM module and Check Engine light...(just as a reference to them might beeing abit more "different" )

No criticism taken. I was of the understanding this fit both the 034 and 036 models and was not aware it was footnoted otherwise in the EPC. If my listing is incorrect, I definitely want someone to point out any discrepancies!

    Mange takk!

No, as I don't have a Euro spec car to experiment with, so I have not tested this personally. However, all the other modules (besides E-GAS and DM) are the same worldwide, and the ETA is the same as well. The DM is a "read only" module and simply observes data from the other modules, and if it sees anything that could increase emissions, it stores a code on the DM and triggers the CEL. The nice thing about DM codes is it will tell you info about engine conditions when the code was stored (engine RPM, vehicle speed, etc)... this data is not available from any other module.

I don't know what the differences are in the E-GAS between regions, but Klink has speculated in the past that the USA-spec modules may not close the throttle plate as much when decelerating, to reduce engine braking effect (or vice-versa)?
