VIDEO. Please help with understanding specific sound

Please help with suggestions as to what could be the source of this pronounced sound. It's fresh, hasn't been there a few weeks ago. Also, what's the white frosting on some line and parts of the engine. It also appears to be fresh... thanks. Car is 1993 400E, 110k miles

I guess I'd start with pulleys. Remove the belt and run the car momentarily and see if the noise is gone.

No idea about the frosting. Does it wipe off easily?

Sounds like a bearing from a belt-driven accessory to my ears. Try temporarily disconnecting the serpentine belt, start the engine, and see if the noise is gone.

Assuming the frosting doesn't taste good, just ignore it.

The noise sounds like one of the ancillary bearings such as alternator, AC compressor, etc. The "frosting" looks like typical aluminum corrosion which can form very quickly. Was there a recent change in weather or did you possibly clean the engine bay?

Thank you guys. I hoped that the bearing of one of the pulleys was the more likely cause. My concern was that it might be related to timing chain guides being gone and chain rubbing/hitting something. Read that on this forum sometimes ago. Thank you all again!
