    NEED SUSPENSION PART NUMBERS

I know this is a gsxr specialty,

I have been looking at suspension parts on parts.com. I wouldn't dare order parts without the correct part numbers.

I just bought a new set of Michelin Super Sports 245/18 & 275/18.The Michelin Pilot Sports on the car have around 24K Miles on them and have become very noisy.
Before I install the new shoes I want to install some new front suspension parts.
Lately I have noticed that hitting certain potholes and such that there is some noise coming from the front end and loose feeling steering also my left front tire appears to be worn down more than the right side.

I checked it out last week and I found the drag link knuckle next to the pitman arm to be worn and also the drivers side tie rod seem a lot looser that the passenger side. Also I have one bad stablizer bar bushing (under the dreaded power steering hose leak)

I need to order my tie rod ends and the drag link.
Parts.com shows tie rod ends seperate from the rod for around $22.00 ea and the complete tie rod assembly with 2 knuckles for $85.00.
I would prefer the seperate ends for each side if possible. Mercedes only sells the assembly.

    1. Need Tie rod ends
    2 for Left Side
    2 ea for Right Side

    2. Need Drag Link

    3. Need 4 ea Front stablizer bar bushings

    4. Maybe a Steering Damper - Will order later if after I check it out.

    5. Maybe the Right and Left front struts. - With 126K Miles on the originals I am looking for input on strut life. I see no leaks and don't want to change unless necessary.

    6. If I change the struts I want to replace the upper spring pads 25mm or 4 tabs.

Dave, Thanks in advance for your help.

    Re: NEED SUSPENSION PART NUMBERS

Tie rods assemblies, drag link, idler arm, steering shock, struts, strut mounts, etc - see attached PDF's.

    28mm inner sway bar bushing = 124-323-47-85 (2 ea)
    22mm outer sway bar bushing = 124-323-51-85 (2 ea)

    Spring pads / shims
    ============================================
    201-321-09-84 - Front, 1-point (8mm) <-- probably original with blue-stripe springs
    201-321-10-84 - Front, 2-point (13mm) <-- probably original with red-stripe springs
    201-321-11-84 - Front, 3-point (18mm)
    201-321-12-84 - Front, 4-point (23mm)

If you replace the struts, I would also replace the strut mounts, unless they are recent; use OE strut mounts only.

Replace the foam stop buffer and accordion dust boots as well. Only use OE/Genuine MB dust boots. There are no aftermarket stop buffers for the 036.

    Re: NEED SUSPENSION PART NUMBERS

    Dave,

A question. On parts.com when I plug in a number Example: 001 330 69 35 it seems to come up with a choice of parts for the same price. One is listed as power?

The other is listed for a 400 420 & 500? I think the latter is correct choice what do you think?

EDIT: Link below to parts.com is dead now, due to changing their site:
Click this link... if this is what you are seeing, just ignore everything on the right side of the page. Click the "Add to Cart" button on the left side, under the "Quick Order" section.

New link July 2018, to MB Naperville, for the same part:

If one is doing a complete steering rebuild, is it recommended to get all new parts in the steering.pdf, bolts and all?

    Considering re-doing the steering components.

I re-use the bolts for steering box to frame. Most all the steering / suspension components will come with new hardware, although with new OE struts you have to buy the hardware kit separately.

Don't forget new late-style OE LCA's while they are still half price, unless you are only doing the steering.
