    Open or closed deck?

I should have open deck (because i lack everything else like WOT, steel oiltubes etc). But i looked for fun but the numbers confuse me:

    M119.975 (400E, E420)
    Closed deck:M119.975 12 010 515

    Open deck: M119.975 12 010 516

    My engine number is: M119975 12 014 096

To straight this out. Is it so simple that 010 516 and beyond is open an since mine is 12 01 4096 mine is open?

Yup. 10,516 and later is open deck, yours is 14,096 so it is open deck.

Note this is for the 4.2L engine, btw. The switch from closed deck to open deck occured in early 1994 model year production, i.e. summer/fall 1993. Cars built after that timeframe will all have open-deck engines (except for 6.0L cars, which use closed-deck blocks).
