This car belongs to a customer of mine, I'm selling it for him.
Its really two cars in one, 94 body and 93 running gear.
The running gear came from the very first 500E parts car I bought back in 2007 or 2008.
The vin numbers are as follows:
1993 Running gear VIN: WDBEA36E0PB908498
1994 Body/Chassis VIN: WDBEA36E6RC098740
Comes with both titles.
The '94 was originally a beige interior and (most*) the 93 black interior was swapped into the 94.
The 94 had well over 200k miles on it, the 93 had approx 65k miles (don't recall exactly too long ago). The engine, transmission and rear sub frame with differential were swapped over. The engine number matches the number listed in the EPC for the vin of the '93. Cluster in the car is from the '93. Car has done approximately 30k miles since the swap.
So on to the car.
Its a great looking car. The car runs great, air conditioning works great. The body is rust free (as far as I can see in all the problem areas). The paint is excellent, had a top shelf re-paint a few years ago. Everything works on the car.
Has replacement harness, actuator, SLS cells, shocks all the major stuff. Headliner recovered in alcantara. Wood and leather steering wheel (wood has some surface cracking). The console & shifter wood is in great shape. Rear glass recently dealer replaced.
Tandem pump is leaking. The stock wheels are ok, but have some curb rash. The tires are mixed brands, goodyear on the front, two different brands of tire on the rear.
SRS light is on, needs a serpentine belt, driver rear light has some minor cracking. Needs a spare tire cover (floor panel) and the spare tire tub.
The seats are ok, the driver lower cushion has been repaired, and there are some dry patches on some of the other seats
The '93 car was a rollover. The accident broke the rear glass and damaged the rear shelf and sunshade. So when the swap was done, the beige rear shelf was used, so the interior is two tone black & beige. Its not for everyone. So it has a beige rear shelf, beige c pillars, beige rear console, beige front roll top, beige visors, beige a pillars, beige knee panels, beige passenger airbag.
I have the majority of the parts to complete the swap. I don't have a black rear shelf with sunshade, but I have a black standard rear shelf, which would look better (IMHO). I have black c pillars, without the reading lights, but the reading lights can be swapped over to the black c pillars. I have all the other parts in black, that I can include (at no cost). I'm not going to have time to work on this car, I'm leaving for the UK (where, now that they're floating around the North Atlantic looking for a home our dollars can buy anything!) in a couple of weeks for an extended holiday.
It needs a couple of other small things, a rear view mirror (its bleeding through), a sunroof switch/over head light and a shifter plate, all of which I can include. Some of the door panels could be better, and if I have better ones, I'll swap them over.
If you interested shoot me a pm or email firstname.lastname@example.org
Please don't respond with comments about stuff like the rear badge is in the wrong place, or that the hose clamps are aftermarket (they're not) , or so forth. It doesn't help. Plus I already know. I have done my best to list all the stuff that I would advise to any buyer was important.
The car is for sale at an asking price of $15K. Please pm or email with questions
Car is in North West Ct.
